Mid-Ulster Towns Closest to the Workshop

Premium CNC Cut & Design is based in Castledawson, and the towns below sit inside the everyday working radius of the workshop. Delivery here is rarely a scheduling question, and a first-off part can often be checked on site and remachined the same day if the opening turns out to be different from the drawing.

Principal Towns We Deliver Into

Beyond the local Mid Ulster radius, these are the principal towns across Northern Ireland with their own CNC cutting, routing and stair pages. Each is written around that town's own delivery route, trade base and building stock rather than a swapped place name.

Every one of Northern Ireland's 11 council areas has its own coverage page, whether or not a specific town inside it has one of its own.

How coverage actually works

What Distance From the Workshop Changes

Everything is machined on the beds in Castledawson, so the thing that genuinely varies from one town to the next is the leg between the bed and your yard, not the machining itself. A town inside Mid Ulster is a local run with no scheduling involved. Further out, a delivery becomes its own journey and is scheduled against the runs already going that week, whether that is a short motorway hop to Antrim or Lisburn or a longer cross-country run to Enniskillen or Downpatrick.

That is worth knowing before a fit-out date is committed, because it is the part of the timeline that is easiest to get wrong and hardest to recover once the programme is fixed. Nothing about the machining changes with the destination, and neither does the price of a cut. Sheet stock comes through the same regional suppliers whichever town the parts are going to, so lead time is driven by board availability and machine time, not by which road the delivery takes.

If your job sits somewhere without its own page, ask rather than assume. Trade delivery reaches across Northern Ireland, and the useful answer about timing depends on what is being cut and when it is needed, not on a radius drawn on a map.

Questions we get asked

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the workshop based?

101a Creagh Rd, Castledawson, Magherafelt BT45 8EY, in Mid-Ulster. Everything is machined there and goes out from there, which is why the road a town sits on is what actually changes between one delivery and the next.

Do you only work around Mid Ulster?

No. Mid Ulster is where the workshop sits and where the day to day local work is concentrated, but trade delivery reaches all 11 council areas in Northern Ireland. If you are further afield, ask about the delivery arrangement when you get a quote.

Why do only some towns have their own page?

Because a page is only worth having where there is a genuine reason for it. The towns listed here are the ones with a real working relationship behind them rather than a name dropped into a template. Every council area has its own hub page even where an individual town does not.

How is delivery scheduled?

Around the runs that are already going out from Castledawson. That is why distance from the workshop changes how quickly parts reach you, and why a nearby town can often be served on the same working day.

Can I collect rather than wait for delivery?

Yes. Collection from the Castledawson workshop is available and is usually the fastest route when a fit-out date is tight.

Which services are available in every area you cover?

All three: CNC cutting, CNC routing and custom parts, and bespoke stairs and CNC panels. The service does not change by town; the delivery leg does.

Do you work with both trade and private customers across these areas?

Yes. The majority of work is trade, so the process is built around cutting lists and drawings, but private customers are handled on the same basis.

What materials can you machine?

MDF, birch plywood, poplar plywood, Valchromat, acrylic, HDPE, PVC and decorative furniture board. If your specification calls for something else, raise it before the sheets are ordered.

How much notice do you need?

It depends what is already booked onto the bed. Regular trade customers usually plan a slot ahead; one-off jobs are fitted around them.

How do I start?

Send a cutting list, drawing or CAD file with material and quantities to the contact form, or call 07899 845815 and talk it through first.

Not sure whether you are inside the area?

Ask. Trade delivery reaches across Northern Ireland, and the honest answer about lead time is easier to give once we know where the job is and what is being cut.
